The First Friday Devotion
The First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is based on a promise made by Our Lord Jesus Christ during an Apparition to St. Margaret Mary:
“I promise you in the excessive Mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful Love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Friday in nine consecutive months the Grace of Final Penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving the Sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment”.
ACT OF REPARATION
Lord Jesus Christ, we look at the Cross, and we, Your Pilgrim Church, can see what sin has done to the Son of Mary, to the Son of God. But now You are Risen and Glorified.
You suffer no more in the flesh. Sin can no longer expose You to the Agony in the Garden, to the scourging, to the death on a cross.
But it can reach You through Your Mystical Body. This is part of You. Your Church on Earth still feels the strength of sin. For this we make our Act of Reparation.
We, who have sinned in the past, now consecrate ourselves to the healing of your Mystical Body, to the part in the mystical Body, to the part in the mystery of its well-being and its growth. Sanctify us for this task.
May Your Sacred Heart be the symbol, not of one loved, but of two. Your love for us and our love for You. Accept our love and help us make it real by serving You in all our brothers and sister, so that love and concern may lead all people to know the one true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have Mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
St Joseph, pray for us.
All you angels and saints, pray for us.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
Amen

Dear Paulina, Dee is so right! We all sin! But, our Lord is a merciful God, He forgives us and helps us find the way. His love is unlike any love and His forgiveness unlike human forgiveness. Talk to Him in prayer and yes, go to confession, it’s free therapy, you’ll love it and continue going because it’s healing! God bless you!
Dear Paula,
We are ALL OF US SINNER’S !
This is why we pray with profound humility and adoration before we WORTHILY receive the Holy Eucharist,
“Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof but only say the Word and my soul shall be healed.”
Of course, we all need to go to the Sacrament of Confession and pray the penance the priest gives us; before we receive the Holy Eucharist.
Even priest need to go to the Sacrament of Recommendation and Pennance. If
you haven’t been to Confession in a long time – please do so. Believe me when I say, it’s better than vast amounts of money spent on therapy – some of us need this, too – but the un-earned graces we lovingly receive, and the feeling of having the weight of the world lifted off our minds, hearts and soul is well worth it. I try to go once a week. Venial sins can quickly turn into Mortal sins. Satan will always look for a tiny foothold in the attempt to separate us from our precious Triune God.
Thank you.
God bless you, Dee
We must pray the Rosary everyday. Pray for our priest n the church. Pray to go back to our Catholic traditions.Fir our families n friends. For this dark world . To stop crucifying our Lord n the cross every day for our sins.
